Whether you've just moved to a new country or want to meet people from your homeland nearby, GlobalKin connects you based on shared location, country of origin, and interests.
Our mission is simple: starting over in a new place shouldn't feel lonely. GlobalKin helps you find your community.
Sign up with your email, Google, or Apple account. Add your name, photo, country of birth, and the interests that make you, you.
Browse suggested people based on shared interests and location. Send a wave to connect with anyone who catches your eye.
Open the Explore tab to see people and events near you on an interactive map. Location is only used while you're using the app.
Once you've connected, start a conversation. Join communities, discover local events, and build your circle.
Download GlobalKin from the App Store or Google Play, open the app, and sign up using your email address, Google account, or Apple account. Follow the onboarding steps to complete your profile.
GlobalKin only requests your location when you open the Explore tab, and only "while using the app". Your location is used to show you people and events nearby. Other users only ever see your approximate distance (e.g. "2.3km away"), never your exact address. You can turn off location access at any time in your device Settings.
You can report any user or piece of content directly within the app. Open the profile or content you want to report, tap the options menu, and select "Report". Our team reviews all reports and takes appropriate action. For urgent safety concerns, email us at globalkinapp@gmail.com.
Open the user's profile, tap the options menu, and select "Block". Once blocked, that user will no longer be able to see your profile or contact you, and you won't see them in your suggestions.
Open the app, go to your Profile, scroll down, and tap "Delete Account". You'll be asked to confirm. Once confirmed, your profile, photos, messages, and personal data are permanently deleted. This action cannot be undone.
Yes, GlobalKin is free to download and use. You can create a profile, connect with people, and message others at no cost.
GlobalKin is intended for users aged 18 and over. By creating an account you confirm that you are at least 18 years old.
Go to your Profile tab and tap the Edit button next to any section — name, bio, photo, interests, gender, or country. Changes save automatically.
On the login screen, tap "Forgot Password" and enter your email. You'll receive a link to reset your password. If you signed up with Google or Apple, simply sign in using that same method.
The Explore map requires location permission. If the map isn't loading, check that you've granted GlobalKin location access in your device Settings. If the problem continues, make sure you have an active internet connection, or email us at globalkinapp@gmail.com.

If you ever meet someone in person that you connected with through GlobalKin, always meet in a public place and let a friend know where you're going. Exercise the same caution you would with anyone you meet online.
